The COVID-19 outbreak has forever impacted our daily lives and routines, here are some ways restaurants will never be the same.

Over the past couple of weeks, things have slowly been returning to normal. Most restaurants and stores are opening their doors, with limited capacity and the requirement of masks. Many businesses are also asking employees to return to work as normal operation hours are being practiced.

Still, the return back to our regular life before COVID-19 is going to be a very slow one. And even when everything is “normal,” it really won’t be. There will be new regulations and practices as we will be adjusting to a “new normal.”

Schools nationwide are closed for the remainder of the school year, when they open back up in the fall, things won’t be the same. The same can be said for stores, businesses, and restaurants.

More from Fast Food

MSN Lifestyle brought to our attention some things that we may never see in fast food joints and restaurants again.

No more or fewer napkin dispensers and condiments: Salt and pepper shakers will no longer be conveniently available at your table. I have already personally experienced this when I dined-in at a local restaurant. We had to ask for salt and a packet was brought to us.

Play areas in restaurants: We can expect to see these open for only a limited amount of time to allow deep cleaning daily.

No large crowds: Instead of lining up to order food or to wait for a table, guests will be asked to wait in their car.

Gloves: All employees will be required to wear gloves at all times, especially at fast food restaurants.

Curbside orders: Instead of walking in to pick up your order, curbside orders may be the new normal. This helps avoid a crowd inside the restaurant and helps with less contact. Many restaurants and fast food joints were already practicing this before the outbreak so it will be even more encouraged now.

What do you think will be different about fast food and restaurants even after the pandemic is over?
