Summer drinks 2020: Angry Orchard’s Rose, Twisted Tea Peach and more

Here are Guilty Eat’s choices for the best of summer drinks 2020, from Angry Orchard Rose to Truly refreshing flavors

The summer season is in full swing. If you have lost track of the days, we don’t blame you, COVID-19 has thrown our routine and schedule on a loop! However, warmer temperatures are hard to miss! And if you live in a hot state as I do, you’re likely craving a refreshing drink! Here are the best of summer drinks 2020.

Ice water is best, sure. But this summer, more than ever before, we need a little bit of fun in our lives! So, in between sips of water (and a fun snack), why not enjoy a beer, a rose, or simply a glass of wine (or two)?

After all, if we are mostly going to be stuck indoors this summer season, it might as well be with good company. And what’s better than a great, cool, and tasty beverages? Not to mention, if you are staying home with a small group of friends or family, why not make it a small party with a cold pack of Twisted Tea Peach or a bottle of wine? We thought so!

All of the drinks listed below have been sampled by yours truly, so it’s an honest take! The companies and brands were kind enough to send me various samples. Needless to say, it’s been a very fun and refreshing several weeks.

Angry Orchard’s Rosé: First on our list is Angry Orchard! Angry Orchard Hard Cider’s new flavor Rose is a must-must-have! Hard cider and rosé? It’s the best of two worlds, two beverage favorites in one! Even though this list is in no particular order, if we could only pick one drink from the list, it’s Angry Orchard’s Rosé!

Twisted Tea: For those who don’t enjoy a strong taste of alcohol, Twisted Tea will be perfect. More than anything, Twisted Tea is full of refreshing flavor. I absolutely loved the summer flavors Passion Fruit,  Peach, and Black Cherry! My fave from the trio is Peach. A few packs of these flavors and you are set to impress at your next gathering.

Napa Valley Zinfandel: Searching for something refreshing, smooth, that screams less “party” and more “relaxation”? Rich and fruity, but not overpowering best describe this wine. While most wines are tart, Napa Valley Zinfandel is very well balanced.

Truly Hard Seltzer lemonade mix pack: Can’t get enough hard/spiked seltzer? We’ve got two great brands on the list, Truly Hard Seltzer and Mighty Swell, we’ll get to the latter in just a bit! First, there’s the more popular of the two, Truly. Well-balanced, refreshing, very flavorful. And the Truly Lemonade Hard Seltzer adds even more flavor! From the Truly Hard Seltzer Lemonade pack, mango and strawberry are my personal favorites.

Mighty Swell: Mighty Swell has most of the above, but tastes a lot more carbonated. If you don’t enjoy seltzer, you may not like this one. It doesn’t go down as smoothly as Truly, but most don’t mind! Personally, I really enjoyed Mighty Swell, it offers a different, more unique taste than other spiked shelters.
