Burger King offers a one day only, “pay what you want” Whopper deal

Burger King is trying to help fight childhood hunger with the help of their Whoppers. But this is no ordinary fundraiser for No Kid Hungry. Instead, this is a one day only deal where customers get to “pay what you want.”

In a press email from Burger King, we learned that in partnership with No Kid Hungry, the fast food chain will be letting customers decide what they want to pay for a Whopper on Sept. 25. And 100 percent of the donations for those Whoppers will be given to fight childhood hunger.

This is the first time that Burger King has offered a deal quite like this, but of course there is only one way to make this happen. And that is by using the BK app to place your order.

Burger King is helping fight childhood hunger with Whoppers

As part of the Dine, Shop, Share fundraising initiative from No Kid Hungry, major retailers and food chains are offering special deals and promotions to their customers. And any money raised from these deals are then used to help fight child hunger. This is basically a win-win, as customers get a great deal, the companies involved get some epic advertisement, and children who would otherwise go hungry get much needed food.

And while Sept. 25 is all about the Whopper deal from Burger King, there are other restaurants that are taking part in the Dine, Shop, Share fundraising initiative, including Fogo de Chao, Arby’s, and even Jack in the Box, to name a few.

Personally, I am excited about Burger King doing this one day deal to let us pay what we want for a Whopper, while also taking that money and giving it to charity. This not only helps people who may want to enjoy a Whopper, but are on a strict budget, but of course it helps No Kid Hungry as well.

It is important to have the BK app on your phone if you want to take advantage of this deal. And of course, this is not the only deal that the app has to offer, as Burger King has been using their mobile app all summer to offer customers plenty of deals and freebies.
