Sonic is often the forgotten fast food choice, but this is not due to a lack of menu innovation or flavor. According to Chewboom, Sonic is once again proving this with the return of the Garlic Butter Bacon Burger. How can you go wrong when you pair the combination of seared beef, garlic butter, and bacon? You shouldn’t be able to and Sonic does not disappoint with this burger.
Perhaps the only bad thing about this burger is trying to say the name too quickly. My tongue gets tied just writing about it. The Garlic Butter Bacon Burger comes in both a regular size and a Jr. Garlic Butter Bacon Burger version. It is the ultimate in just flavor with no real frills since there are not too many additions onto the burger. For the most part, you are biting into a specifically made burger with cheese and bacon all held together by a toasted bakery bun.
The burger itself is made by searing a creamy garlic butter into a 100% pure beef patty. By searing rather than grilling over an open flame, the burger patty locks in all of its juices and flavors while also absorbing the garlic butter. If this wasn’t enough already, the burger is then topped with crispy bacon and American cheese. Along with this Sonic adds diced grilled onions on top of the mix and just to make sure things stay creamy, mayonnaise gets spread on the bun.

Sonic debuted the Jr. Garlic Butter Bacon Burger during this time last year and it was successful for them. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost a year for these burgers to be back, but they will be more than worth the wait. The garlic butter gives you a burger full of flavor and mouth dripping juices. It can be a bit messy, just like most of the best burgers tend to be.

If you like a juicy burger, you should try the Sonic Garlic Butter Bacon Burger or the Jr. version while you can. Both versions of the burger are available at Sonic locations for a limited time. The suggested pricing is $4.99 for the regular size and $2.99 for the smaller version.
