Forget the trick part of trick or treating! Are you looking to get a little treat of your own on Halloween? Krispy Kreme wants to help by offering a free doughnut. However, there is a catch! (Nothing too bad though.)

Remember earlier in October when we mentioned that Krispy Kreme was really getting into the spirit of Halloween? Not only with one dollar dozens on Saturdays, but also giving us spooky doughnuts. But that’s not all they are doing.

As we mentioned earlier, they are also giving out a free doughnut on Halloween to every customer who comes in on Oct. 31. And this deal is available in the drive-thru and by going into a participating location. So how do you get your free doughnut?

In order to get your free doughnut, you have to head over to see them in costume. And while the costume doesn’t have to be elaborate, it does have to be a costume.

According to Chew Boom, there is no purchase necessary to snag your free doughnut. And you’re also not limited to just an original glazed! That’s right – we get to choose which doughnut we want for free from their wide assortment of flavors!

So if you want that Franken-doughnut – no problem. Or if you are more of a jelly-filled doughnut lover, that is okay too. Whatever doughnut you want to celebrate Halloween with, it is up to you.

I don’t know about you, but this feels like the perfect way to enjoy trick or treating without actually doing the trick or treating!
