Prue Leith revealed how old she is on the latest episode of the Great British Baking Show and our minds are officially blown! In fact, we are now wondering if the fountain of youth is actually a cake and we just missed the memo.

According to Evoke (and basically all of social media), during the Dessert Week episode of Season 11, Leith was speaking to the hosts of the series, Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding (who already shocked us all with his age), when she revealed that she is 80-years-old.

That’s right Guilty Eats nation – Prue Leith is 80! And if you don’t think Twitter lost its collective minds over this reveal, then you don’t know the Great British Baking Show viewers!

While we thought Noel Fielding being 47 was a shock, learning how old Prue is was absolutely mind blowing. And clearly we were not alone.

One Twitter user said, “Prue Leith is 80!!!! Clearly eating cake does keep you looking good!” While another Tweet said, “I’m sorry are we just going to skip past the part where Prue said she was 80 years old??? Is the secret to eternal youth the pond pudding.”

Honestly, we thought she was much younger than that. At most we would have said late 60s. And if that makes us naive, well we will take it.

We can only hope to look as good as Prue Leith does when we hit 80. Also, if the secret to eternal youth has something to do with sweets, cakes, and other treats that they always tell us not to over indulge in, then we need to know this ASAP!
