McDonald’s is adding its healthiest menu item yet, the McPlant Burger!

I believe and eventually expected this news from Wendy’s, even Burger King, but McDonald’s? This is a surprise! Did you ever think the McPlant Burger would arrive at the fast food chain? Here’s everything we know about it.

According to Chewboom, this new plant-based burger will arrive at select locations beginning early 2021. This burger has already been tested, but in Canada locations last year, the source shares. So this is definitely new to us!

How do you feel about it? Have you tried other plant-based burgers? If so, are you a fan? My biggest question is how McDonald’s will make this burger stand out from the rest. After all, there are many meatless options at fast food chains these days.

The burger is crafted for McDonald’s, the source states, “with the kind of craveable McDonald’s flavor customers love.” It will feature a plant-based patty on a sesame seed bun with regular burger toppings. The patty is supplied by Beyond Meat for Canada, but we’re not sure the US market will do the same.

There’s more! Reportedly, the McPlant Burget is only the beginning of a new menu line headed to the fast food chain. Which fast food restaurant or chain do you believe is next to get on the latest trend?
