Bruno Mars wants his rum to take you away for a mental vacation

Bruno Mars is in the rum business and wants to give tropical vibes with SelvaRey

Bruno Mars is in the rum business and he has been for several years now. If you are surprised to hear this, you aren’t the only one, but in between writing hit songs, winning Grammy awards, and playing in sold-out arenas, Mars has been working as an investor for SelvaRey rum.

As reported by Travel and Leisure, Mars wants the rum to help transport you to places you might not be able to visit due to the pandemic. Although it’s not quite 24K Magic, Mars thinks this rum can help take you to an instant vacation. For those who need a mental getaway to help us deal with 2020, SelvaRey may be just what we didn’t realize we needed.

The rum comes in two varieties:

  • White: Velvety smooth with delicate notes of citrus and vanilla.
  • Chocolate: Aged rum infused with chocolate.

SelvaRey is not a household name, but Bruno Mars plans to change that

Mars has been known for his funky style with both fashion and music and he has said it is time to take SelvaRey to a “funkier place.” Mars first began his investment into the rum company back in 2015 after being a happy customer beginning in 2014. He is now going public in his involvement in hopes of establishing SelvaRey as a more global brand.

The rum which sounds delicious in both of its current flavor offerings is available in 25 markets currently with expansion plans underway. The Chocolate flavor sounds like a perfect fit for adult desserts such as milkshakes or added to a homemade caramel or chocolate sauce for ice cream. I don’t know about you, but “That’s What I Like” and the clear rum sounds like a perfect base for Rum Punch or a Pina Colada.

SelvaRey rum seems like a great answer for any type of “Uptown Funk”. While it is not Moonshine, the balance of flavor will be a great way to take your mind to a more tropical mindset. It sounds like a definite Treasure for the soul. Mars himself likes SelvaRey with ginger ale which is a quick and easy way to enjoy any night in.
