Even the Colonel needs family time so KFC will be closed on Christmas Day
KFC is known for putting smiles on many faces. The casual fast-food brand is known for its fried chicken and family meal offerings. Unfortunately, if you are looking for KFC on Christmas day, you better get it beforehand. They do not take many holidays off but the Colonel does close on Christmas day.
Kentucky Fried Chicken has always embraced the holidays and gets into the spirit. This year has been no different as they once again have launched holiday-themed buckets to go out with orders. This is a tradition dating back to 1957 and the 2020 collection pays homage to a couple of classic bucket designs.
In true 2020 spirit, KFC also partnered with the Lifetime television network for a Colonel inspired movie featuring Mario Lopez. The 15-minute mini-movie premiered on December 13 and no doubt inspired Grubhub orders everywhere.
If you want KFC on Christmas, just plan ahead and stop by on Christmas Eve
With all of the holiday love for its customers and fan base, there should be understood that the restaurant would also take care of its employees with Christmas day off. Fortunately, KFC is operating during normal hours on Christmas Eve. So if you would like to plan ahead, you can still grab yourself enough fried chicken to hold yourself over for after gift opening on Christmas day.
You can indulge in a bucket of chicken if you can keep yourself from going crazy with it the night before. Another option is to buy a bucket for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. One way to go would be to split between the underrated Kentucky Fried Wings as your Christmas Eve treat and a bucket or $20 Fill up for Christmas day.
Although eating reheated fried chicken is not ideal, KFC does reheat pretty well so no matter what you are craving, if you plan ahead you can still enjoy KFC on Christmas day. Just do not forget the mashed potatoes and biscuits.
