Most of us are already aware that IHOP is a 24/7 business. The casual breakfast restaurant is open every day of the year at all hours of the morning and night, but the year 2020 has been an odd one. Many things have changed in the restaurant business, are IHOP hours one of them? Is IHOP open New Year’s?

This New Year’s Eve and Day are a bit different. Instead of planning a party, watching the ball drop with a  live audience, most of us will be celebrating from home.

I’m not talking about a house party, either, but alone at home. It’s sad, I know. I hope most of you are able to have (or join) a few friends or family members to kick off the new year, but it’s understandable if you are not.

One thing you can’t go without on this day (or any holiday), though, is a good meal! That said, IHOP comes to mind when it comes to a tasty breakfast or late meal. But is it open on New Year’s Eve 2020 or New Year’s Day 2021?

Rejoice, foodies! IHOP is open for business this weekend! Fortunately, the insane year that has been 2020 did not change this fact about IHOP — they are always open.

Early in the pandemic, IHOP did close for indoor-dining. Some locations even shut down altogether. It opened up to-go and deliveries soon after and then slowly began to make dining-in an option.

At the moment, the majority of locations are operating at a 50%-75% capacity. What is your local restaurant doing and handling the outbreak?
