You asked and Whataburger is more than happy to oblige by bringing back their popular BBQ Bacon Burger for a limited time.

The biggest problem when a fast food chain such as Whataburger introduces a new item is that nine times out of ten it’s for a limited time. Which means no matter how much you may enjoy it and say so on social media, eventually it will be removed from the menu, sometimes never to return.

When that happens, let’s be honest, it sucks. Big time.

However, sometimes a chain will listen to the feedback and if the item is popular enough, they will bring it back to the joy of fans everywhere. We imagine that’s the feeling fans of the McRib get once a year or so.

More from Fast Food

For the Whataburger faithful, they get to feel that sense of excitement for themselves as Chewboom is reporting that they are returning their fan favorite BBQ Bacon Burger to menus everywhere. The new item proved incredibly popular in the spring so the chain bringing it back isn’t that shocking.

The BBQ Bacon Burger includes two fresh beef patties with not one, not two but three slices of bacon and a mix cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese layered between them. Topped with the requisite BBQ sauce, the whole shebang is encased in a five-inch bun.

Whataburger obviously believes in the old adage that there is never such a thing to too much bacon.

Unfortunately, the return of the BBQ Bacon Burger is for a limited time. Again. So get them while the getting is good and maybe if we’re all lucky, Whataburger will get the message and add it to the menu permanently.
