Chocolate peanut butter pie Oreos turn a classic combo on its head

Some flavor combinations are classics for a reason; they’re delicious. Apple and cinnamon. Tomato and basil. Chocolate and peanut butter. They all work perfectly which is why it’s no wonder that just the thought of chocolate peanut butter pie Oreos has fans of this flavor combination drooling.

Over the past couple of years, Oreos has been expanding the flavors the famous cookie comes in. Everything from carrot cake to java chip to lemon-flavored Oreos has come out, and the cookie brand doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. The chocolate peanut butter pie flavor came out in 2018 and is still available in most grocery stores.

Clearly, the flavor has become a staple for Oreo, and with how popular peanut butter and chocolate is, it’s not difficult to guess why.

Oreo’s take on the combination is a little different than you might think. Instead of the classic chocolate cookie, we all know and love, they use their graham-flavored cookie to mimic the crust of the pie. They then fill it with a 50-50 split of chocolate cream and peanut butter cream. Yum!

These cookies are available at Target, Walmart, and Amazon (and Meijer if you happen to live in the Midwest). They are currently $3.69 for one pack at Target and $14.90 for 2 packs on Amazon.

If you’re a huge peanut butter and chocolate fan and you haven’t tried these, you need to get to the store and pick up a box (or three). Or if you can’t find any Girl Scout cookies this year, these are a great substitution for tagalongs! It won’t give you the same creaminess as an actual chocolate peanut butter pie, but that doesn’t make them any less delicious!
