Peeps are back: Where have the marshmallow sweets been spotted?

SOUTHAMPTON, PA - APRIL 18: Marshmallow Peeps are seen on display at McCaffrey's Supermarket April 18, 2003 in Southampton, Pennsylvania. Just Born, the manufacturer of Marshmallow Peeps, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Marshmallow Peeps, and now produces more than one billion individual Peeps per year. Peeps haven’t been around for months, missing some very important holidays. We were so sad when we learned they’d be missing Halloween and Christmas 2020. But rejoice, sweet foodies, they are reportedly back in stores!

You may or may not remember that Peeps stopped production in late 2020 due to COVID-19. This means we all missed out on Halloween and Christmas Peeps. Say what you want about the sweets, but it’s an icon.

And I’m not ashamed to admit I’m a true fan of the marshmallow candy. I was sad not to see them around in stores during such important holidays. Thankfully, Peeps are back, if reports are to be believed.

When Peeps took off for the holidays to ensure the safety of its staff, they shared that they hoped to be back in time for Easter. And here we have been, patiently waiting. Well, they seem to be back just as planned!

Where can you find Peeps in 2021?

According to Radio, the candy has been spotted both in stores and online retailers in Party Cake, Sour Watermelon, and other flavors. Yum, give me both and more, please! You can find the treats back in massive retailers and their sites online.

The fun chick-shaped sweets really did make it back in time for Easter — not to mention, in time to give us a quick pick-me-up. After all, the year 2020 was a tough one! Everything seems to be a lot better now, though, especially now that they are back.

PETA still has issues with Peeps, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Let people enjoy things!

What do you think about the returning of the iconic candy? Did you miss them or not even notice their absence? Be honest! What is your favorite candy or Peeps flavor of all-time?
