Believe it or not, there are many people out there who prefer to drink iced coffee. I happen to be one of these people and no matter the time of year, if I am drinking coffee (and I usually do at least one to two times a day) it will be an iced coffee. For those of us who struggle walking around with our iced coffee in the cold months, Panera Bread has our backs. As reported by Mashed, Panera has created a bread-bowl glove that they are calling the Iced & Toasty Bread Bowl Hand Warmer.

This might seem crazy, but it may actually be pure genius. For those of us who live in cold weather climates and extremely cold temperatures this time of year, we need something to keep our hands warm while still enjoying our iced coffee. After all, you do not want to risk frostbite.

Living in New England, I have had to endure having my hands go numb while walking through a parking lot with my cherished iced coffee while the wind chill is below zero. I had a regular glove on, but it wasn’t enough. If only Panera had their bread bowl-inspired glove available to me at that point.

The Panera Iced & Toasty Bread Bowl Hand Warmer is available via sweepstakes

The new bread bowl gloves look so much like an actual Panera bread bowl, you may wonder if you should put your cup of iced coffee in it or just grab some of Panera’s broccoli cheddar soup and dump that in instead. Perhaps the best part of these magnificent hand savers is the fact that Panera is giving them away for free.

Next. It's almost time for the Spring Baking Championship. dark

Unfortunately, Panera has only had 450 Iced & Toasty Bread Bowl Hand Warmers made. What this means is that if you want one, you need to head over to icedandtoasty.com if you want a chance at yours. Panera is taking entries up until January 29th. Panera is hoping you will pair your new handwarmer along with a MyPanera+ Coffee Subscription. Unlimited iced coffee for $8.99 a month does not sound too bad.
