While I may not be the biggest fan of chili, even I am a fan of the Feltman’s Game Day Chili. I also love the fact that they came up with a Football Kebab that brings together goodies I never would have paired with a hot dog. Curious about how Feltman’s can change your game day and beyond? Check out some of their recipes and ideas for taking those hot dogs and kicking them up a notch or 10.

Feltman’s of Coney Island shakes up the way we enjoy hot dogs on game day

Not only did they offer offer a special Super Bowl Bundle for $54.99, which included 16 hot dogs, 16 buns, a Feltman’s beanie, and Deli-style mustard, but they also gave us some must try recipes that will have us coming back for more.

And even long after the Super Bowl is over and we know the winner, we can enjoy these hot dogs and the corresponding recipes. This means for every baseball game we watch at home, every summer holiday, and basically anytime you want to incorporate hot dogs into the mix, these recipes make it easy to do that, while also keeping things fresh and interesting.

So which recipe are we sharing with you right now? It’s the kebabs of course. After all, these things are fun, easy, and downright fascinating.

To create your Frank Kebabs you will need:

  • 3 Feltman’s hot dogs
  • 8 cubes of the cheese of your choice (cheddar being recommended)
  • 8 cubes of fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 of a green bell pepper
  • 1/2 of a yellow pepper (you can switch out for the pepper you prefer)
  • 1 large dill pickle
  • toothpicks

After cooking up your hot dogs the way you like them, cut them into slices. You will also want to chop up your peppers into small squares. For the first Kebab featuring the peppers and pineapple, you will start by taking a cube of pineapple and centering it on the toothpick, then put a slice of hot dog on either side. One either side of the hot dog, you will add one piece of pepper, alternating colors on either side.

For the less adventurous kebab, you will take the leftover hot dog pieces and cut them in half to create like a half moon shape. Much like you did with the pineapple, take the cube of cheese and then center it on the toothpick before adding a slice of pickle to either side. From there you will take a piece of hot dog and add that to either side as well.

Once you have assembled your Frank Kebabs, arrange them on a platter and enjoy.

Honestly, this might be one of the easiest creations, although there is quite a bit of chopping that happens. But in the end, you have easy to eat, delicious bites that will get you through at least the first quarter of the game.
