This Sunday the eyes of America will be tuned to the biggest sporting event of the year, Super Bowl LV. Whether you’re watching just for the commercials or are actually interested in the game, odds are you or someone you know will be watching, maybe at your local Buffalo Wild Wings.

Usually the Super Bowl is a great excuse to have a big party with lots and lots of food and drink. In particular, buffalo wings. Personally we like ours a bit on the mild side but there are plenty of folks who like their wings so hot they’re in tears after eating them.

The problem is that this year is unlike any that has come before. Parties are out. Getting together at the local bar with all your friends is out. Thanks to the pandemic, most people will be watching the Super Bowl with just immediate family and maybe a few friends.

However, even though a lot of things are different, Buffalo Wild Wings is keeping one tradition alive and well. Which means a lot of fans are hoping for overtime.

Buffalo Wild Wings offering free wings if game goes into OT.

As reported by the sports lovers over at Chewboom, once again Buffalo Wild Wings is offering everyone in the United States and Canada free wings if the big game goes into overtime.

If the game goes into overtime, everyone will get a completely free order of six boneless or traditional wings on February 22 from 4 to 7 PM local time. The offer is only available for dine-in and in-person take out so if you want your free wings, you’ll actually have to get off the couch and go to a Buffalo Wild Wings.

Overtime in the Super Bowl doesn’t happen all the time. In fact, it’s a pretty rare thing. But if it does, you are all set for some free wings courtesy of a restaurant that knows a thing or two about wings.
