A new sandwich has made its debut at McDonald’s, and it has us all scratching our heads. Malaysia stores are getting creative by mixing spicy chicken and apples. Will this new meal ever arrive to the states?

Now, here at Guilty Eats, we are down for anything! No, seriously! We have tried it all — yet are always surprised by the next foodie invention or unique flavor. So when we heard from Chewboom that McDonald’s stores in Malaysia had launched a new spicy chicken sandwich that also featured apples, we were, of course, intrigued.

The ad is calling this one Spicy Apple, and I’ll bet! I’m Latina, so throwing something spicy on fruit (such as tajin seasoning) isn’t uncommon. But spicy chicken? That’s a new one!

McDonald’s Malaysia believes that sweet apples and spicy chicken make a great pair! Odd, but I’m up for the challenge! Talk about getting your protein and fruit intake in one bite. But will any of us here in the states ever get the chance?

Is the Spicy Apple sandwich coming to McDonald’s in the states?

According to the source, the Spicy Chicken with Apple Slices sandwich is only available for a limited time, and there are no plans to bring it to the states — unless the meal is a hit!

This is always the case. Whenever there’s a new product in select markets, it’s likely on a test run to see just how popular it is with customers.

However, let’s keep in mind that this sandwich is not being tested in stores here in the United States or Canada. This makes it a little more difficult to come all the way here, but we’ll see what happens! You never really know when it comes to the foodie world.
