Margaritaville Resort Orlando is helping us get into a drinking mood for St. Patrick’s Day
Looking for a way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Even if you can’t visit Margaritaville Resort Orlando, they are sharing a few drinks to get us in the spirit of the day.
And while we could go with a green beer or a classic Irish brew, there is something about thinking outside of the box that we love. This is why we are excited about the four cocktail recipes that the Orlando Margaritaville is sharing for St. Patrick’s Day 2021.
If you can make it to Margaritaville Resort Orlando on March 17, not only can you get these cocktails made for you, but you can also enjoy “Irish, Classic Dubliners & Sea Shanty music” courtesy of a live performance by Herbie & the Gators. (The live music is expected to play in the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.)
Of course, if you can’t get to Orlando or have no desire to chance a crowd, then you can make these fun drinks in the comfort of your own home. And yes, there is at least one green drink to enjoy as well for St. Patrick’s Day.
Margaritaville Resort Orlando shares some St. Patrick’s Day cocktail recipes
The Sour Shamrock
- 1 1/2 ounces of Jameson Irish Whiskey
- 4 ounces of Lemon Sour
- “A healthy squeeze of simple syrup”
In a tin, mix together all three ingredients and then pour over a glass of ice. Garnish your glass with lemon and lime.
Sweet Baby Stout Shot
- 1/2 ounce of Jameson Irish Whiskey
- 1/2 ounce of Kahlua coffee liqueur
- A floater of Rum Chata
In a shaker tin, mix together the Jameson and the Kahlua. Once this is shaken, pour the mix into a shot glass. Then pour the Rum Chata over it as your “floater” over the top.
Spicy Leprechaun
- 1 1/2 ounces of Dano’s Jalapeno Pineapple Tequila
- 3 ounces of Ripe Lime Sour
- 1 drop of green food coloring (If you couldn’t tell, this is our “green drink” for St. Patrick’s Day.)
- Muddled jalapeno
In your mixing tin, add the tequila and then two slices of jalapeno and muddle together. Add in your green and ice. Shake together and then pour into a margarita glass with fresh ice. For an added twist, they recommend adding Old Bay spice to the rim of your glass.
Four Leaf Clover
- 1 1/2 ounces of Teeling Irish Whiskey
- 4 ounces of Goslings Ginger Beer
- Fresh squeezed lime juice
- Simple Syrup
In a shaker tin, add the Whiskey and simple syrup, then take three wedges of lime and muddle together. Add ice and then give the tin a firm shake. Pour the mix over fresh ice and then top with the ginger beer.
