Guy Fieri will once again give us a behind-the-scenes and raw look at restauranteurs when the sequel to Restaurant Hustle 2020 makes its debut. According to PR Newswire, a second installment of the popular documentary has been given approval by Food Network. Although no official date has been given, this is very exciting news.

In case you missed it, Restaurant Hustle 2020: All on the Line gave an in-depth view of what life was like for a handful of chefs/restaurateurs who were navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic. The documentary featured renowned chefs Maneet Chauhan, Marcus Samuelsson, Christian Petroni, and Antonia Lofaso. The documentary also featured some narration and commentary from Guy Fieri who also served as co-director.

The documentary which first aired in December on Food Network was popular for its raw view of what many restaurant owners and chefs were experiencing in their own lives. The four featured chefs gave us a true view of their day-to-day lives as they struggled with juggling the closing of their multiple restaurant locations while trying to keep as much staff employed as possible, and also meld their ever-changing personal life.

We can only hope the chefs continue to record everything they experience and how they react to it as they did in the first documentary. This led to many raw and emotional moments as they adapt to new ways to run and drive business. Lofaso endures a tough spell after one of her employees tests positive during her Easter pre order preparation and she is forced to throw out all of her prepared meals and refund all of her customers.

Guy Fieri will continue to give us a look at restaurant life during a pandemic

Similar experiences have been had by many restaurant owners and chefs over the last year, but the documentary gave us an inside glimpse into the day-to-day uncertainty and struggle in a way we had not quite seen before.

The new documentary will still give us a behind-the-scenes look with the same four chefs as the original. This time, the focus will start in January 2021 as the chefs try to get their restaurants back to a full house again.

I am sure we will also see the continued adaptation to living with COVID restrictions and precautions. All four chefs are talented so I am sure we will also see some great food get served from time to time. We will probably also see more instances of the restaurant community getting together and supporting each other and the people of their towns and cities. We will also most likely continue to see how COVID has changed the way each chef goes through their everyday non-restaurant life.
