Taco Bell just took Nacho Fries to the next level
By D. Goodman
Fans of Taco Bell can be a pretty devoted group. We were all heartbroken when some items were removed from the menu due to the pandemic and cheered when some returned.
Needless to say, Taco Bell fans keep close tabs on any new or reimagined item that the Bell may be working on and always have an opinion. This is why Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries took social media by storm when they were introduced.
Many didn’t think anyone could reinvent the french fry, but Taco Bell managed it and turned it into one of the biggest fast food items to hit in quite a while.
Now that word has broken that the Bell has taken Nacho Fries and is taking them up to 11 (bonus points if you get the Spinal Tap reference, kids) fans are pretty excited, especially if you live in Southern California where they are being tested.
According to Chewboom, Taco Bell is giving a pair of new items in that area a test run for a very limited time that everyone will want to see on menus everywhere as soon as possible.
Get ready for the new Crispy Cheese Nacho Fries at Taco Bell
The first item is called Crispy Cheese Dippers and they are cheddar cheese curds that have been coated in tortilla chip coating and then fried. They come with a side of chipotle sauce and literally everything about that sounds amazing.
The second is Crispy Cheese Nacho Fries that combines the old with the new. They take the favorite Nacho Fries and top them the Crispy Cheese Dippers and smother the whole thing in nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, sour cream, and diced tomatoes.
Because, you know, you have to eat your veggies.
Both new items are only available at a single Taco Bell located in Southern California and only until March 10. But considering how good both of those sound, it’s a safe bet that they will be making their way to a larger test area before too long and eventually nationwide.
