Taco Bell Corp. announced that on March 31, 2020, the company will give everyone in the country one free beef nacho cheese Doritos Locos Taco, no purchase necessary, to drive-thru customers at participating locations while supplies last as a way of thanking people who are helping their communities in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The company also announced it would relaunch its Round Up program, which gives customers the option to "round up" their order total to the nearest dollar, to raise funds for the No Kid Hungry campaign. While I’m sure you’ve made a trip to Taco Bell recently, did you know the fast food chain is testing out new $1 menu items? We’re all very excited about it! Here’s what’s new.

When it comes to fast food, most of us seem to gravitate towards the value menu aka the $1 options. I understand fast food shouldn’t be out go-to all the time, but hey, we’re Guilty Eats for a reason! Can you blame us?

Fast food is so convenient and quick (most of the time) to get. Sometimes we just want a snack on our way home or as a break. Not to mention, the past year and some months have been rough!

So when Taco Bell shared new dollar menu items, I was all for it. According to the source, there are some new $1 menu items spicing up the already hot menu.

New Taco Bell $1 menu items

The source shares that the fast food joint is testing out a few items, which may be good or bad news. It depends on your location.

Unfortunately, when a fast food chain (or any restaurant) is in the testing stages of new items, it means that it is not being offered at all locations. There are usually a few select markets that are trying these out first, before launching wide.

In fact, some menu items are a fail, so they are just removed from the menus and never launch anywhere else. On the bright side, I don’t think this will be the case here.

Testing in Columbus, Ohio, are $1 Spicy Tacos and $1 Primo Burritos. The source teases that these will test in Kansas City, Missouri.
