Well, we hope you are catching this in time. But if you’re not, there are still some fun ideas below you can pick up on your way to mom’s house.

From breakfast in bed, last-minute jewelry, and chocolates you can pick up from any retailer, here are some great fail-proof gifts that will save the day.

Last-minute foodie Mother’s Day gifts

Ferrero Rocher: You know the brand, it’s one of the most popular, most delicious chocolates in stores. Hands down. Whether it’s Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day, you can’t go wrong with an elegant box of Ferrero Rocher.

Pair a box (pick the biggest) of Ferrero Rocher chocolates with flowers and you are set, my friend! Both the flowers and chocolates can be picked up at any massive retailer, it can’t get any easier (or affordable).

Ferrero Golden Gallery Signature: Along with the regular Ferrero Chocolates, the brand shared with me a box of the Ferrero Golden Gallery Signature chocolates. Now, the former I am familiar with, but this is the first time I sample the latter, and let me tell you — chocolate heaven!

Mom’s taste buds NEED to enjoy these chocolates! They include a variety of flavors such as white chocolate, coffee, dark chocolate, and more.

Fannie May Pixies: Want to truly stand out with a box of chocolates that’s a little rarer? Presenting Fannie May Pixies. Now, I didn’t get to sample these, but check out the mouth-watering  description, “the perfect blend of hand-poured caramel, lightly roasted pecans, and chocolate.” Be right back…ordering a box now.

Nutella Cookies: The brand also shared with us a delicious cookie recipe. Mom and grandma are always baking cookies for us, it’s time we return the favor. And it doesn’t get any better than with Nutella! Here’s the recipe from Nutella:

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1/2  teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2  teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all- purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (additional melted chocolate, if desired)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. With an electric mixer, beat butter until creamy. Add in the sugar and beat until fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add in the egg and beat until combined.
  4. Beat in the Nutella, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Beat in the flour until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts by hand. Scoop dough by large tablespoons and form into balls.
  7. Place, about 2 inches apart, on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are crispy and the center is still slightly soft.
  8. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes on baking sheet. Finishing cooling on wire rack
