We are used to all fast food chains and restaurants being open on Mother’s Day, but the pandemic has shaken things up. Have hours of operation changed for Mother’s Day 2021?

The pandemic has changed just about everything and more. However, it’s safe to say that this year is a heck of a lot better than last! But what does this mean when it comes to holidays and fast food.

Before, restaurants expected to be packed on Mother’s Day, the same for drive-thrus. That was not the case last year, but things are looking up! Thanks to the vaccines, most of us are even able to enjoy dinner on the patio at our favorite restaurant.

The question is, where, exactly, can we enjoy a meal? Is Chick-fil-A open for our favorite breakfast, for example? Are restaurants following regular hours of operation? Here’s what we know!

Mother’s Day 2021: What’s open today?

We are in luck! You may be able to stop by the drive-thru for your mom’s favorite fast food meal. It all depends on where that is.

After doing some research, it appears that the only restaurant not open today is Chick-fil-A. This isn’t truly surprising. Chick-fil-A never opens on Sundays, and Mother’s Day falls on this day.

Other than this, all other fast food joints are open. Most, however, are only offering drive-thru services due to the expected large crowds. As for restaurants, most will be cautious about the capacity.

Again, because of the large crowds, everyone is expecting, restaurants may cut back on the number of guests allowed to dine inside. Your best bet is to call your favorite place to double-check the capacity and availability.

How will you be celebrating mom (or the mother figure in your life) today? Did you already have plans to take mom out to eat or will you be enjoying a meal with them at home?

Happy Mother’s Day 2021!
