A Flamin’ Hot Cheetos movie is in the making! When does it premiere, what is it about (besides the obvious), and who will star? Here is everything we know about the upcoming feature (so far).

To most of us, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos is just a great snack. Who came up with the idea of adding this hot hot spice to regular cheese Cheetos? We’re not sure! I’ve never wondered, really. I just assume all these flavors come from the company.

However, there is a great and inspiring story behind the creation of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. One that I loved when I learned about it and wondered why the story wasn’t known by more people. Well, it’s just about to become big news, because there’s a whole movie premiering about it!

Flamin’ Hot Cheetos movie synopsis

The movie is a biopic about the inventor of the flavor, Richard Montañez. The inspiring story will focus on Montañez, a former janitor at Frito-Lay who came up with the idea himself. He experimented with the original snack flavor and created Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

The flavor has been one of the most popular snacks ever since. According to Delish, Montañez added the mix of spices, coating the Cheetos and the new flavor was born.

Unfortunately, there is no known premiere date for this movie. We’ll know more as plans develop and we’ll be sure to update you on all the details!

So far, we know Eva Longoria will direct this biopic and the cast, so far, only includes Jesse Garcia and Annie Gonzalez. Both Garcia and Gonzalez are Mexican-American actors, which was important to Longoria.
