6. Beefy Potato-Rito

Another menu item off of the dollar menu at Taco Bell, this is a play on a burrito that should also work based on what it includes. For this roll up/burrito, we get beef, potatoes, and cheese (and it is not just any cheese, as they go for a nacho cheese over a shredded cheese here).

Maybe it is the potatoes making this a mess, but unless you are literally mainlining this thing from the Taco Bell kitchen straight into your mouth, this thing just doesn’t work. It never seems to stay warm and by the time you actually bite into it, things are weirdly soggy and mushy. I wanted to love this “rito” but it has never been a winner.

5. Beefy 5-Layer Burrito

I love a cheesy burrito with beef, but when it comes to the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito things just don’t go well. In things I never thought I would say, maybe there is just too much cheese in the mix with this menu item. Not only does this thing come loaded with beef and refried beans, as well as sour cream, but there is also shredded cheese and nacho cheese sauce.

This burrito always seems to be a soggy mess no matter how quickly you get to this thing. And on top of being soggy, it is often cold in parts (we blame the sour cream for this, but still). While this burrito should work in theory, it just seems like there is too much going on for it to be as good as we want it to be.

4. Quesarito

A quesadilla meets a burrito! Bring it on! Except it doesn’t end up working. As much as we want to love something that brings together our two favorite menu items, the fact that it always ends up a soggy mess kind of ruins the entire thing.

While this should have a hint of crisp thanks to the whole quesadilla thing this item has going on, the reality is far from what we wanted. I truly wanted to love this menu item, but after multiple attempts at enjoying a Quesarito, I am going back to my quesadillas and bean burritos as completely separate entities.
