Its Chipotle versus Taco Bell right now. With one giving us a new customizable option with their quesadilla and the other bringing back the Quesalupa, fast food eaters can get all the cheesy goodness they want. But which of these fast food menu items will reign supreme this spring?

Listen, we have all heard of the chicken sandwich wars, but now we need a quesadilla battle. And luckily for us, Chipotle and Taco Bell are making that happen.

So what exactly are we saying? Quesadilla lovers this is your time! Not only is Chipotle making it easier than ever to enjoy a delicious quesadilla made to order, but even Taco Bell is getting in on the action in their own way. That’s because the fan-favorite Quesalupa (a cross between a quesadilla and a Chalupa) has made its return to the Taco Bell menu.

So which of these menu items is going to bring the cheese and win over the hearts of fast food fans everywhere? Honestly, it all depends on you and what you want to feast on of course.

Chipotle versus Taco Bell in the Quesadilla wars

When it comes to Chipotle‘s new customizable quesadilla, it’s exactly what you expect it to be. It’s a quesadilla that you can jam-pack with basically anything on the burrito bar. (Some people are forgetting that you’ve been able to get a quesadilla at Chipotle this entire time, but it was pretty straightforward and basic.) The big difference with this quesadilla is the fact that it is really only available through the restaurant’s app because it takes longer to make than a bowl or burrito.

Then there is the Quesalupa from Taco Bell. It’s a double layer of cheese on cheese in between two shells. On the inside is everything you expect from a Chalupa, with the added benefit of melty cheese. It’s like the love child of a quesadilla and a taco (but really a Chalupa), and that’s what makes it so much fun to eat.

So which of these quesadilla items will reign supreme? For us, if you are looking for a more classic quesadilla then we have to give this one to Chipotle. But if you like something unique and extra cheesy, it has to go to Taco Bell.

Final say on the matter – for us we want the Quesalupa! It was a favorite when it first released in 2016 and it doesn’t require too much work to order and make. It’s truly cheesy fast food goodness with a whole lot of flavor.
