Del Taco is taking the chicken sandwich wars to the next tasty level this summer

Forget the chicken sandwich wars! Del Taco is giving us chicken menu items that are going to win all the chicken fans over.

While we already know all about the chicken sandwich wars (thanks to Popeyes and every other fast food chain trying to one up the chicken chain), at Del Taco, it is less about the sandwich and more about the chicken. That’s why for the summer, they are expanding their sauce offerings to take their crispy chicken magic to the next level.

So what exactly is on their summer chicken menu?

According to a press email from the company, we learned that the summer of chicken at Del Taco is all about the flavors.

For $1 we can get our hands on Crispy Chicken Tacos which include shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, and the sauce of your choice – Honey Chipotle BBQ, Spicy Habanero, and Ranch. Next up we have the $4 offering which is 3 piece box of chicken strips and fries with your choice of sauce.

Finally, we have the Epic Crispy Chicken Burritos which will cost $5 each. For these burritos we have:

• Epic Crispy Chicken & Fresh Guac Burrito
• Epic Honey Mango Crispy Chicken & Bacon Burrito
• Epic Honey Chipotle BBQ Crispy Chicken & Bacon Burrito

Of course, your meal would not be complete without a delicious drink. So that’s where their new Chocodays Beverages come into play. For a limited time only, Del Taco is bringing us:

• Mocha Iced Coffee (it may not sound like it, but this really is a chocolatey delight)
• Mexican Chocolate Shake
• OREO Cookie Horchata Shake
