It’s easy to forget that Friendly’s has a lot more than just ice cream. I mean, sure, that’s the main reason people go there and if I see someone finish their meal and not order a sundae I want to ask what they heck is wrong with them, but like I said, it’s easy to forget.

So if you can get past the revolutionary idea that Friendly’s offers more than banana splits and monster sundaes, you may find yourself in for a treat. Especially if you are a seafood fan and can find your way to one of the chain’s locations before the end of the summer.

Why you ask? Because as reported by the the ocean faring folks at Chewboom, Friendly’s has introduced a Classic New England Summer Menu, a mix of returning favorites and new items that is focused on everything seafood.

The New England Summer Menu includes a total of ten items, five of them brand new and five returning classics you can be sure someone will be thrilled to see make a comeback. And yes, the menu includes two ice cream sundaes sure to make the kids, as well as adults, happy.

Friendly’s gives you lots of ways to get your seafood on.

Four of the new items include a Buffalo Shrimp Quesadilla, a Lobster and Shrimp Quesadilla, a Wonton Shrimp Wrap and a Wonton Shrimp Salad. All of which sound amazing. The Items returning to the menu are the Lobster Roll (What New England menu would be complete without a lobster roll?), an AI Steak Sauce Burger, a French Dip Burger, as well as a Cape Cod SuperMelt.

To finish things off once you’re done with your New England-inspired meal, the Superman Sundae makes a return and joining it is the brand new Summer Breeze Sundae.

That, in case you were curious, is a whole lot of New England on one menu. Seriously, you may see a lighthouse by the time you finish your dinner.

The Friendly’s Classic New England Summer Menu, like all good things, is only available for a limited time. It will be available for dine-in as well as takeout and delivery until September 19. So make sure to schedule a trip to Friendly’s before the summer is gone.
