Is Nutrageous one of the best candy bars?

Ok, get ready for a rant. A happy rant because this was my number one favorite candy bar as a kid. If they were in the house, I was eating them and I was eating them all. Why? Let’s look at the ingredients.

The Nutrageous consists of Reese’s peanut butter, roasted peanuts, and caramel. It’s then covered in chocolate. It’s like a child’s dream. Or a sweet tooth’s dream and I definitely have one of those.

Peanut butter and chocolate and caramel and nuts?!?!? Do I need to say more?  If you are a peanut butter and chocolate lover, this is the candy bar you want.

The fact that they aren’t around as much anymore is a tragedy. You can buy them in big packs on Amazon and might be able to find them at a store or two, but anywhere else doesn’t seem to have them. Let’s all cry together for the loss of this amazing candy bar.

The bar was first created in 1994 as a unique spin on the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup by the Reese’s division of the Hershey’s company. The bar was almost named Acclaim but was quickly changed before release when a focus group (made up of mainly kids) said they liked the Nutrageous name much better. Obviously, they were correct.
