What fast food restaurants are open 24 hours?

When you’re craving breakfast (or dinner) in the middle of the night, where you do go? Which fast food restaurants are open 24 hours? We’ve put together a helpful, quick list for you to have handy.

While you can count on most McDonald’s locations being open 24 hours a day, that doesn’t mean all are. It all depends on whether the restaurant is a franchise and it also has a lot to do with where you live.

Fast food locations inside shopping malls and certain shopping centers, for example, can’t open or stay open 24 hours a day when the building doesn’t open until shopping hours. However, the Burger King by a busy highway or street is likely always open for business.

Which are the major fast food chains open all day, every day? We’ve put together a list for you to bookmark (or memorize) so your cravings are always satisfied, because here at Guilty Eats, we know better than anyone that when the craving for breakfast at midnight strikes, we gotta have it!

Fast food restaurants that are open 24 hours a day

  • Waffle House (all locations)
  • IHOP (all locations)
  • Denny’s (select locations)
  • Boston Market (select location)
  • Whataburger (select locations)
  • Jack in the Box (most locations)
  • McDonald’s (most locations)
  • Burger King (select locations)
  • QuickTrip (most locations)

Does this list seem shorter than you imagine? I sure found it so.

For the most part, you can count on Waffle house, IHOP, McDonald’s, Jack in the Box, and QuickTrip to be open for business 24 hours and have a quick bite for you to enjoy at any time of the day. The majority of these locations are always open.

McDonald’s and Jack in the Box close their dining rooms around 9-11 p.m., but the drive-thru window stays open.

Burger King, Boston Market, and Denny’s have a lot of locations that do open 24 hours, but not all of them. For example, the closest ones to me are not open 24 hours, but some that are 30 minutes away, do.

Starbucks and Chick-fil-A do not, and never have, been open 24 hours. You’ll have to wait to get your coffee fix and dose of tasty nuggets!
