Sonic introduces the brand new Grilled Cheese Burger
By D. Goodman
Over the last few months Sonic has done a lot to try to get people to give the fast food chain a try. They have introduced a number of new items to their menu and have gone out of their way to show customers that they have taken things to the next level of flavor.
First came the popular Chicken Po’ Boy Sandwich, their entry into the Great Chicken Sandwich Wars. Then they gave us the new Crave Cheeseburger with the appropriately named Crave Sauce. And of course who can forget when they took things to 11 and added ketchup and mayo to all their burgers as well as improving all the other fixings.
Now comes news that they have taken their already immensely popular Grilled Cheese Sandwich and combined it with a Sonic Cheeseburger to create something new. Something different. Something that is sure to have foodies lining up to give it a try.
As reported by the fine folks at Chewboom, Sonic has introduced the new Grilled Cheese Burger, and it is now officially available at a location near you for less than the change you likely have in your pocket.
The Sonic Grilled Cheese Burger will only be available for a limited time.
The Grilled Cheese Burger takes the Sonic Grilled Cheese Sandwich, which is a grilled cheese on Texas Toast and puts a 100 percent pure beef patty right in the middle. Add some ketchup, mayo and diced onions and you have the Grilled Cheese Burger. And you can get it with two beef patties instead of just one for when you’re really hungry.
The Grilled Cheese Burger will only set you back $2.49, which is nothing when you think about what other chain’s charge. And Sonic is so sure you’ll like it that you can get one for half-price when you order through the Sonic app.
Unfortunately, the Grilled Cheese Burger will only be available at Sonic until September 26. So if you want to give one a try we suggest you do so sooner rather then later.
