Two of the best foods to ever be created are chocolate and croissants. Flaky, buttery pastry and chocolate. Both are amazing. But what if you combined them together? A chocolate stuffed croissant is the food of the gods and Thomas’ is getting in on that goodness with their newest product.

You can now get mini chocolate stuffed croissants wherever you get your Thomas’ English Muffins. They became available at most of the major retailers across the U.S. on Monday, Oct 18, and are $4.69 for a bag. There are15 chocolate croissants in each package.

What better way to start the morning than with chocolate croissants? Or as a perfect snack for any time of day? Yes, please!

I got the chance to try a package of these and the chocolate is so good! It’s definitely semi-sweet versus the chocolate you might find on a candy bar. It’s got just a hint of bitterness which works perfectly.

I wouldn’t call the croissant part a real croissant. It’s more like a mix between a crescent roll and bread. It doesn’t have the flakiness that a real croissant has. It’s definitely not puff pastry.

But that’s understandable for a product like this. You’re not exactly going to eat all 15 in one day and puff pastry doesn’t have a great shelf life after it’s baked. So this works.

As for preparing these chocolatey mini croissants, while the directions say to microwave them for five seconds, that didn’t work for me. I needed to microwave them for 10 seconds to really get the chocolate melty.

I would recommend trying them in a toaster over. Just for a minute (at most) until the chocolate is just starting to melt. It makes the croissant part a bit softer and tastier. In the microwave, it tasted a bit raw if you know what I mean.

When I tried it in the toaster oven, I liked it better. But everyone has different tastes. Try both ways and see what you like!

If you’re in a rush and looking for something sweet, this is definitely a good chocolatey treat!
