Taco Bell celebrates return of breakfast with free burrito

It seemed like Taco Bell, a fan favorite among the fast food crowd forever, had finally introduced breakfast to their menu and then it was gone. No more breakfast burritos or tacos or their unique twist on the breakfast sandwich.

Like so many other things, fans had the pandemic to thank. With everyone staying home, there just weren’t enough people around in the early days of the crisis to warrant having The Bell open that early.

Since then things have started to get better and a year ago, Taco Bell slowly started to bring back breakfast items for their many fans. However, many locations still weren’t serving breakfast and it had many people wondering if we would ever see breakfast return to Taco Bell nationwide.

Well, wait no longer folks. According to the press email we received, breakfast at The Bell is officially back everywhere starting later this month.

Taco Bell is celebrating the return of breakfast with free burritos.

To celebrate the return of breakfast, Taco Bell is doing something they have gotten very good at. They are giving everyone free food. In this case a free Toasted Breakfast Burrito to all comers on October 21 from 7 to 11 AM local time.

This is in addition to the Steal a Base, Steal a Taco promotion they are doing in conjunction with MLB and the World Series. I swear, I’ve never seen a fast food chain so excited to give away food.

But wait, there’s more! In addition to a free Toasted Breakfast Burrito, Taco Bell will send you a wake-up call to remind you to get your free burrito. I kid you not. Text “Wake Up” to 1-866-WAKEUP3 and The Bell will call you with a prerecorded message.

Not only will they help wake you up but they’ll help you get to sleep too. They have released a special digital bedtime story titled “Sleep Tight, Get That Bite: A Taco Bell Bedtime Story for Adults” that will help any fan of the chain get right to sleep. You can check out the story here.

And it wouldn’t be Taco Bell unless there was something for you to wear and rep your favorite breakfast spot. The Taco Bell Breakfast Sleepwear Collection is now available at the Taco Bell website but act fast. If it’s like any other time Taco Bell swag went on sale the items will be sold out faster then you can imagine.

Taco Bell is doing all this to celebrate the fact the breakfast is back. I can’t imagine any other fast food chain getting this worked up about getting up early, but that’s why The Bell has the adoring following they do. They go above and beyond to get you excited about coming into their restaurants.

Go and enjoy your free Toasted Breakfast Burrito. It’s been a long time coming.
