ALDI wants shoppers to know holiday shopping may look different this year
Shopping in 2021 has been a challenge for many. There have been shortages across the board, with many chains, including Starbucks having to post notices about their menu items not being available. And now ALDI is reminding shoppers that when they head out to find their holiday meals, things may look a bit different in stores.
According to Mashed, ALDI sent out an open letter to their customers about shortages that will have an impact on our holiday shopping. And it is a reminder that not only might it be harder to get our hands on the seasonal products we know and love, but it might be harder than ever to have those favorite dishes on your holiday tables.
In the letter from ALDI, they explain “how certain products might arrive later than expected and warned that its inventory might change on the fly.”
ALDI is trying to prepare customers for holiday grocery shortages
Considering how long we have all been feeling the pinch of grocery shortages, it probably is not a surprise that once again we are going to be seeing products not hitting shelves for the holidays. And while ALDI is doing what they can to prepare us for these shortages, that doesn’t mean they can do much more than try their best and get out what comes in to the stores.
As is, we already know to expect shortages of things like Rice Krispies, certain spices from McCormick and more. Some companies have even asked retailers not to promote sales and deals so that customers don’t end up disappointed and even more frustrated.
While we don’t know exactly what may not be available this holiday season or what products to be on the lookout for, we appreciate the fact that ALDI is doing their part to give their customers a heads up. And it also means that we are even more likely to turn to ALDI for our grocery needs, because we know that they care and want to make sure we have what we need for a happy holiday season.
