We love Panda Express. They make it easy to enjoy American Chinese food on the go and of course, it is delicious. And thanks to their latest additions to the menu, everyone in the family can enjoy a tasty meal.

In fact, Panda Express is making sure that even their youngest customers can enjoy a delicious meal that is also focused on being “nutrition first.” And while we love their orange chicken, the crispy almond chicken breast, and their honey walnut shrimp, getting a full entree for the kids isn’t always the way to go.

So what exactly has Panda Express decided to offer children for dinner (or lunch)? According to a press email from the company, their latest menu additions are all about children and created based on the dietary recommendations of the USDA, making these meals all about “nutrition first.”

The three new kids meals from Panda Express are,

  • Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with 1/2 Super Greens and 1/2 Chow Mein
  • The Original Orange Chicken with ½1/2 Super Greens and 1/2 White Steamed Rice
  • Broccoli Beef with 1/2 Super Greens and 1/2 White Steamed Rice

But it’s not just the rice, greens, and protein that kids get in these meals, as these meals also come with either a water or juice and a fruity snack of Treetop Apple Crisps.

So what makes these meals healthy (beyond the obvious)? How about the fact that they deliver under 600 calories per meal, while also making sure that children are getting a serving of fruit and vegetables. Sounds pretty healthy to us.

Just looking at what kids get in these meals, we can tell that Panda Express really did put a lot of thought into creating healthy, nutritious meals. And they made sure that they still delivered on flavor, whether that is with the orange chicken or the teriyaki chicken. (And of course their broccoli beef is not to be missed.)

So what do you think of these healthy kids meals from Panda Express? Do you want to see more healthy meals added to the menu? We want to know.
