McDonald’s is celebrating their OG breakfast sandwiches 50th anniversary on November 18. And that means offering a deal and a reminder to hack the sandwich.

First let’s talk about the deal and then we can talk about hacking the sandwich.

On November 18, McDonald’s is celebrating the Egg McMuffin by offering their customers a $0.63 deal if you use their app. It’s a throwback price that honors the legacy of this iconic breakfast sandwich and lets people who want to shake things up for breakfast do it while saving money.

According to the corporate press release about this deal, “The 63 cent Egg McMuffin offer will only be available on the McDonald’s app during breakfast hours on Thursday, Nov. 18.” And they are also promoting the idea of customer hacks of the McMuffin.

McDonald’s wants to help you hack the Egg McMuffin by offering a one-day-only deal of $0.63

McDonald’s wants us to hack their Egg McMuffin

As the Senior Director of Brand Communications pointed out, the Egg McMuffin was the first of its kind in the fast food world, and since it debuted, “customers have been getting creative with it ever since. It‘s been fun to see all the ways they’ve made it their own – whether it’s adding some heat with salsa or sweetness with jam or combining it with the Sausage McMuffin, they’re always innovating.”

And taking inspiration from the customers themselves, McDonald’s is encouraging us all to snag those $0.63 Egg McMuffins and make them our own. We can try some of the hacks that have already made the round, such as “The B.E.T.,” which is an Egg McMuffin with Bacon and Tomato, or the “I Love Hash Browns,” which is an Egg McMuffin that takes out the English Muffins and swaps them out for Hash Browns.

Of course, you can always just get your classic Egg McMuffin and enjoy it straight up. After all, there is nothing wrong with that iconic sandwich straight out of the McDonald’s kitchen.

We are pretty excited for this one-day-only deal and we definitely plan to get our hands on $0.63 Egg McMuffins. But what do you think? Are you excited for this deal? And do you hack your sandwich? Will you try any of the hacks McDonald’s is sharing? We want to know.
