Did Thanksgiving creep up on you and you need a last minute trip to the store? Are you trying to stock up on groceries like eggs, butter, stuffing, and even wine for the dinner table? Then you might be wondering whether or not Trader Joe’s is open on Thanksgiving Day this year?

If you are a long time fan of the grocery store chain, then you might already know the answer to this question.

So what exactly is the answer to whether or not Trader Joe’s is open on Thanksgiving Day? Well it is most likely a no. The thing is that for the last few years, Trader Joe’s has issued a statement on their store website that states the store is closed to allow their employees a chance to enjoy the holiday with their families. And even Delish is reporting that the chain will keep its doors closed on the holiday.

And that means that in 2021, the same holds true. What does that mean for those of us looking to pick up last minute supplies? Well, we need to get it done before Turkey Day.

Trader Joe’s is not going to be open for Thanksgiving

Instead of heading out to Trader Joe’s, you’ll need to stop by one of the other stores that will be open on the holiday if you need a truly last minute pick up. And that may even mean heading out to places like CVS and Walgreens, which have definitely been lifesavers in the past for us.

As long as you get in to Trader Joe’s by November 24 (the day before Thanksgiving), you should be good to go fellow foodies. But remember, last minute shopping can also come with its own challenges as we find ourselves struggling to get everything we need on our shopping lists.
