Is DoorDash delivering on Thanksgiving Day 2021?

One of the best things about having the DoorDash app on our phones is the fact that we can get inspired when it comes to picking a quick lunch or dinner. And even if that means feeding one or two people, they have us covered.

In 2021, there are still plenty of us who are not looking to host a massive gathering. And if it is just you (or even you and your very immediate family), then you might be thinking that getting dinner delivered is the way to go for Thanksgiving.

So the real question is whether or not DoorDash will be delivering on Thanksgiving Day in 2021.

Will DoorDash deliver on Thanksgiving Day this year?

According to Simply Recipes (which actually chose DoorDash as their preferred food delivery service), they will in fact be delivering on November 25. Of course, there are certainly things to consider when opening up your DoorDash app.

While DoorDash might be delivering, it will all depend on whether or not there are drivers in your area and of course which restaurants and stores are operating. That means that if Chick-fil-A is closed on Thanksgiving, then you obviously won’t be able to order from them.

We should also note that because there will be less drivers, as well as less restaurants available to choose from, it may take a while for your meal to make it to your door. (But please remember to be nice to your delivery driver, it is the holiday and they are working to make sure we get fed.) One more thing to pay attention to is the delivery fees, as this is a holiday, some of the fees might be higher than we normally see them.
