Is Red Lobster open on Thanksgiving Day 2021?

There is something about seafood that we can’t resist. And if we can get it cooked by someone else that’s a win for us too. But what we really want is an order of Cheddar Bay Biscuits. And of course, that means we need Red Lobster for that.

When you think of Thanksgiving, does seafood come to mind? Probably not. After all, we call it turkey day (even though ham is another protein that shows up on the Thanksgiving dinner table quite often). But if you have ever researched what was actually eaten at the first Thanksgiving, you would know that fish was in fact served – specifically bass and cod.

And if you really wanted to try a traditional Thanksgiving meal, that means you might be looking for a seafood restaurant that is open and serving on November 25. This leads us to our big question of whether or not Red Lobster is open and baking up Cheddar Bay Biscuits on Thanksgiving Day.

Will Red Lobster be open on Thanksgiving Day 2021?

Over on the Red Lobster website, we saw a note about Thanksgiving in which they were referencing a deal they are offering on free delivery where the chain said,

"Excludes Thursday, November 25 due to Thanksgiving closures."

After doing further research and hitting up the fine folks at Country Living, we determined that Red Lobster will in fact be closed on Thanksgiving Day. This means that unless we have a box of Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix in our pantry or we remembered to pick up their new frozen, ready to bake packages at Walmart, then we are out of luck on these tasty treats. (Fingers crossed we have a box or the frozen packs at home for us to make ourselves.)

Of course, we can always head to the closest Red Lobster on Black Friday to get our seafood and biscuit fix.
