Whether you’re doing some very last-minute gift shopping or you’re just trying to get some time away from your family and their questions about your future, you might be wondering if Target is open on Christmas Day this year. Really, is there ever a bad time to go to Target? I think not!
But no matter the reason you want to head to Target on Christmas, you won’t be able to do any shopping because the store will be closed. Sorry, there will be no strolling the aisles or spending way more than you intended to.
While it may be inconvenient for some, it does give Target employees a chance to be with their families and friends on the holiday or just have a day off to rest and relax.
They will be open on Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. so if you need any last-minute presents, need to pick up something for a recipe, or want to pick up a dress or a pair of pants for your Christmas outfit, Friday, Dec 24 is the time to do it.
Target will not be open on Christmas Day
If you do feel the need to shop on Christmas Day, you can always head to Target’s website and buy whatever you want (although it may be a bit less fun). The store either ships it right to you or allows you to pick it up at the store. It just depends on the item.
Once Christmas is over, the store will go back to its normal hours. The day after Christmas, they will be open from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. That gives you plenty of time to use the money or the gift cards you got the day before.
