Is Perkins open on Christmas Day 2021?

Perkins is known for many things, including their baked goods and the fact that they serve homestyle meals all year long (and all day). And around the holidays, they also get rather festive by offering a range of take home goodies to serve in the comfort of our homes, and even doing a special menu in their restaurants.

But what happens on Christmas Day? Do they continue to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to hungry diners who either can’t be home for Christmas or don’t celebrate the holiday?

Unfortunately, the answer to this is not a simple yes or no.

Will Perkins be open on Christmas Day?

According to Country Living, while Perkins will be open on December 25, not all locations will be. And, while locations that are open will be offering a special menu for holiday diners, that still leaves us with the restaurants that are not open.

When we looked to see if the location closest to us in Florida was open, we got the sad news that they will actually be closed on December 25, with normal hours on Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas. (This is a change from last year when they were open on Christmas Day, which led us down the rabbit hole of whether or not all locations were closed or not.)

So what does this mean? It means if you are looking for a homestyle meal that you don’t have to cook on Christmas Day, you either need to get it before they close on Christmas Eve or you will need to find a location that is open.

We definitely recommend calling ahead if you aren’t sure about the holiday hours for the Perkins location closest to you.
