Is Publix open on Christmas Day?

Do you need some last minute groceries for Christmas dinner? Are you trying to snag something to enjoy for breakfast on Christmas morning? Then you may be wondering whether or not Publix is open on December 25.

As someone who shops at Publix pretty regularly, this is definitely something we wanted to know too. And that meant doing some digging, since most (technically all) of the grocery stores we went to did not have holiday hours posted anywhere that we could see.

Luckily for all of us, Delish did the digging for us. And not only did they let us know what the potential Christmas Day hours were, but they also shared Christmas Eve hours too!

Will Publix be open on Christmas Day?

Up first, let’s find out the most important one. Will they be open on Christmas Day?

According to the them, Publix will be closed on Christmas Day. And that means you either need to do all your shopping before the store closes on Christmas Eve or you will need to find somewhere else to get those last minute pick ups.

If you are trying to figure out how long you have on Christmas Eve to snag those grocery needs, we have you covered. It seems that most Publix locations will be closing their doors on December 24 by 7 p.m. local time. This means that you do still have time if you are heading out early enough.

Basically, we are out of luck on Christmas Day, but we do get some pretty decent hours for anyone looking to get their groceries into the late afternoon on Christmas Eve. However, if you don’t need anything urgently, you can always wait until December 26 when they are open for their normal shopping hours.
