45. Vermont
Breakfast Place: Maple Sugar + Vermont Spice
Featured Dish: Sugar + Spice Pancakes
If you’re looking for a place or a state that is known for and totally famous for their maple syrup, certainly come dine here! In fact, it would probably be a sin/disrespectful if you didn’t order something that required syrup…but sometimes, even bacon and sausage make it into the syrup dipping cup at breakfast so is anything really off limits early in the morning. Nope…not at all!
Now, for what we’ve all been most importantly waiting for…let’s talk about their Sugar + Spice Pancakes! Looking for something to warm you up in the morning food-wise instead of a morning cup of joe if you’re not into that? Try their deliciously and warm Sugar + Spice Pancakes! Actually, in fact, here’s what they deliciously and comfortingly consists of/tastes like: stack of 4 large pancakes with, as the menu directly states itself, “our special cinnamon and maple sugar baked right in”. Now tell me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t this be even more delicious than it already is with some apples on top or even baked in? Also sounds good in a bread flavor as well! Yummmmm!
Have you tried this delicious morning treat yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!
46. Virginia
Breakfast Place: Pop’s Diner Co
Featured Dish: Piglet Omelet
As their website’s About Us tab starts out by saying, “Two brothers had an idea…” To me, whenever a place’s description starts out like that, you just know that it is going to be good, delicious and homey! That is all, folks, not much more to say when the name and saying itself does it’s own form of justice for themselves…………
Now, for what we’ve all been most importantly waiting for…let’s talk about their Piglet Omelet! Now, unlike the Porkey Omelet that we saw and virtually tried from visiting West Virginia, this Piglet one is definitely meat-packed to the gills, which is what we love and adore to be honest…………a nice meaty and hearty omelet. Here’s what it is stuffed to the gills with and deliciously consists of nonetheless and alike for me: pork BBQ (now definitely a different morning option to put with eggs if you ask me, right), ham, sausage, cheddar cheese, and bacon jam. While I totally thought and expected there to be actual bacon bits in there and not just a jam, I’m totally and for surely not mad about it! Interesting, fun, and certainly deliciously yummy nonetheless!!
