With golf courses, spas, signature restaurants and more, OMNI Hotels & Resorts aims to provide an enjoyable guest experience. This program is geared towards children 10 and under.

According to a recent press release, the Junior Chefs program includes:

"·        A complimentary Junior Chefs tote for all guests checking in with children 10 years or younger, complete with an activity book, crayons, and organic snacks and juice boxes·        Elevated Omni Junior Chefs kids’ menu at Omni restaurants, featuring locally inspired, kid-friendly fare with “heart-healthy,” “protein-packed,” and “gluten-free” meal designations·        A Say Goodnight to Hunger postcard redeemable for one meal donation to a child or person in need, along with a Say Goodnight to Hunger Bracelet while supplies last"

Although they differ by hotels, the Junior Chefs menus include items like local grass-fed beef burgers, vegetable bolognese pasta and junor filet mignon. The menus also include kid classics like mac and cheese and chicken tenders.

Food insecurity is a huge problem in the country. According to the USDA, in 2020, over 38 million people were food insecure. OMNI Hotels & Resorts has been working to help fight hunger with their “Say Goodnight to Hunger” initiative, which launched in 2016.  In partnership with Feeding America, OMNI donates one meal to the organization for every overnight stay. As of today, the hotel company has provided 20 million meals!

As Peter Strebel, President of Omni Hotels & Resorts, explains, “…with our Junior Chefs program, we can reach and inspire guests from an early age on the importance of philanthropy and giving back.” Children can now learn about food insecurity and help get involved in this initiative by coloring the postcard that comes in their Junior Chefs welcome tote. When they submit their decorated postcard to the front desk, they know that they have donated a meal to another child.
