Easter is here and while it’s not as big a deal as Christmas or Thanksgiving, the holiday is still big enough that some restaurants and stores are closed. But does that include Target? Will you be able to hide from your family and head to Target before the big Easter meal?

Unfortunately, Target will not be open this Easter. Target has been closing on Easter for some time and this year is no different. That means no escape from the family (unless you hide in the bathroom).

It also means that the day before Easter and the day after Easter will be very busy at Target.

So if you need a last-minute shirt to add to your Easter outfit, an item to make your house look more springy, or something to make your Easter dinner perfect, there will most likely be lines at the checkout. It’s probably best to order everything days ahead of time so you don’t have to wait in line or wait in your car for curbside service.

Target is not open on Easter this year

If you do head to Target the day after Easter, there is sure to be a ton of sales on Easter candy. If you have a particular love for Easter candy, this is the perfect time to stock up on PEEPS, jelly beans (especially the Starburst ones), chocolate bunnies, and Cadbury eggs. But make sure to get there early or everything might be already gone.

So while everyone’s favorite all-in-one store is closed on Easter, there will likely still be plenty of deals the next day. You just have to shake yourself out of your ham coma, eat a few jelly beans for an energy boost, and head to your local Target.
