Burger King testing a new Avocado Bacon Whopper
By D. Goodman
Along with the Big Mac, the Whopper is probably one of the most recognizable burgers in all of fast food. Burger King has worked very hard to make the Whopper an important part of American pop culture and for the most part it has worked.
As a result, over the years Burger King has also tried to mix things up and give the Whopper a refresh every now and then. I mean, the classic Whopper is pretty damn awesome but who’s to say that adding something to it won’t make it more appealing?
There are the new Whopper Melts as well as the Impossible Whopper, not to mention all the different versions you can get all over the world. The fact I couldn’t get a Franken Whopper still haunts me to this day.
The Burger King Avocado Bacon Whopper is likely only here for a limited time.
Now according to folks over at Chewboom, a new Whopper has apparently arrived and is being tested in a few locations. And it looks pretty much inevitable that it will arrive nationwide at some point. Say hello to the new Avocado Bacon Whopper.
An Avocado Bacon Whopper includes a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty that has been topped with lettuce, American Cheese and onions as well as a avocado spread, bacon and tortilla strips. That is all slathered with a creamy spicy sauce and put between a toasted sesame seed bun.
Not enough? Well you can also get a double version. The Avocado Bacon Double Whopper adds another quarter-pound patty for when you get really hungry.
Right now there’s no word exactly where Burger King is testing these new Whoppers, so if you have seen them in your area please head to our socials and let us know. Because it sounds like a real winner and and not something we want to miss.
