Memorial Day is upon us and with it the arrival of summer barbecues and stocking up for summer gatherings. And for some of us, that means a trip to Costco for all the hot dogs, hot dog buns, burgers, napkins, and sodas we can get our hands on.

If you happen to be hosting a barbecue or some other type of get together this Memorial Day, then you may need supplies to feed your friends and family. And what better place is there to stock up on all the necessities (in bulk) than a big box store like Costco?

However, the real question is whether or not Costco will actually be open on May 30 (Memorial Day itself). Luckily, we have the answer.

Will Costco be open on Memorial Day?

According to Offers.com, Costco is one of the few stores that will actually be closed for the holiday (and not just operating with reduced hours). In fact, they are actually closed on a number of major holidays, including Labor Day, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving Day to name a few.

So what does this mean for your last minute get togethers and barbecues this Memorial Day? Basically, if you are looking to shop on May 30, you will be out of luck and will need to choose a different store to do your party shopping. But, if you are looking for those bulk buys and savings then you will definitely want to head in on Sunday (May 29) before they close.

Of course, if you aren’t planning a holiday gathering and were just looking to do your weekly (or monthly) shopping, they will be back to their normal hours on Tuesday, May 31.
