MasterChef is back and this time, they are bringing back former chefs to give them a second chance to win it all. And we have a first look at episode 2, which is the second round of head-to-head battles.
While the first episode introduced us to the “Back to Win” concept and how our top 20 chefs were chosen, in episode 2 we have perhaps our most exciting head-to-head battle. And that is the battle of the MasterChef Junior Chefs. That’s right, there are MasterChef Junior competitors getting a chance to be on the main series.
And in our first look at episode 2, the second part of the battles round, we get to see Gordon Ramsay reconnecting with MasterChef Junior contestant, Shayne.
Gordon Ramsay and former MasterChef Junior competitor catch up in this exclusive clip from episode 2
With three former junior chefs returning for a chance to win the main series, it is all about seeing how they have grown since they were last in the MasterChef kitchen. And that is exactly what Ramsay pointed out to Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich at the very start of this clip.
Stepping down to the competition floor, Gordon Ramsay immediately goes to speak to Shayne, who was just 13-years-old when he competed last (which was during Season 5 of the Junior series). Not only do we get to see a flashback to Shayne and Ramsay during Season 5, but then we get to see the two men reconnecting.
Obviously, we still have to watch the episode to see what happens between the three former Junior chefs. And of course, we don’t yet know if one or two of the chefs will get a chance to compete in Season 12. But with this clip, we are even more excited for what is to come this season.
