We all know that when it comes to the soda fountain at McDonald’s, the drinks just hit differently. They taste different and they even sound different. And it is the fact that the soda from the McDonald’s tap sounds different that has them giving us the ultimate start to summer.

Over the years, so many people have shared their thoughts on what their sodas sound like. Among the descriptions that have been shared we have the sound of a TV’s static or even a dog growling (that doesn’t seem very pleasant). But what do you hear when you listen to your cup of Sprite from McDonald’s? That is the ultimate question.

And it is a question that McDonald’s wants an answer to. This means giving away some Sprite to inspire people to share what they hear.

McDonald’s is giving away Sprite on June 21 so that fans can share what their soda sounds like

According to the press email we received from McDonald’s,

"On June 21 – the first official day of summer – we’re calling on fans to share what sound their Sprite from McDonald’s tastes like on social media. And to get the creative juices flowing, customers can score a FREE any-size Sprite when they spend $1 on the McDonald’s App on June 21."

Basically, all you have to do is hit up their app, spend $1, and you will get a free Sprite. It’s as easy as ordering some French fries and getting a Sprite to quench your thirst along the way.

Once you get that free Sprite, head on over to the McDonald’s social media channels and make sure to share what it is you hear when you listen to your soda bubbling in its cup. (Sometimes we hear the ocean, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking on our part.)

But we also want to know what you hear when you listen to your McDonald’s Sprite. And will you be taking advantage of this deal to get your free Sprite on June 21? Let us know in the comments!
