The Italian Spritz Collection from Peroni Nastro Azzurro + Ellis Brooklyn

While many of us dream of sipping cocktails overlooking the Amalfi Coast, sadly it’s not a reality for most. If your summer includes more staycations than vacations, the Italian Spritz collection may be just what you need to be “whisked away.” Peroni Nastro Azzurro has partnered with Ellis Brooklyn to release The Italian Spritz collection, an exquisite scent and sip pairing.

Peroni has been making Italian beer since 1846. Peroni Nastro Azzurro was created in 1963 and is Italy’s premier beer. Nastro Azzurro is Italian for blue ribbon and ribbons are seen prominently on the beer label. It is a light and refreshing pale lager.

Ellis Brooklyn is a luxury sustainable fragrance brand that was created in 2015. The company makes paraben-free, phthalates-free and cruelty-free  eau de parfums, scented body milks, candles and more.

According to a press release that was shared with Guilty Eats, “The Italian Spritz Collection comes in a Peroni-inspired dopp kit which includes the Italian brand’s signature design elements, including the traditional blue and white stripe design on the travel bag, as well as nods to the iconic Peroni blue ribbon. Inside each kit, fans will find a special sensory guide, taking them on a journey through Italy with each of the six Ellis Brooklyn fragrances paired with a Peroni-inspired spritz cocktail and Italian locale.”

Bee Shapiro, Founder of Ellis Brooklyn notes, “Each of our fragrances are meant to take you on a sensory journey, and when paired with the tasting notes of a Peroni or Peroni-infused spritz cocktail, the little moments are elevated.”

The six travel spray fragrances include WEST, SWEET, SUNFRUIT, SALT, BEE, and SUPER AMBER eau de parfums. Although the collection includes Peroni-inspired cocktail pairings, the beer is not included so you will need to go out yourself and stock up on a six pack of Peroni Nastro Azzurro to complete the pairings.  As found on the Ellis Brooklyn site, an example of one of the pairings is:

WEST Top Scent Notes: blood orange, clementine, lemon and basil
Peroni Nastro Azzurro Top Tasting Notes: crisp and refreshing with a delicate balance of bitterness, citrus, rye toast and spice note

The kits retail for $140 and are only available on the Ellis Brooklyn site to those 21+. This is such a fun and unique collaboration pairing scents with cocktails!
